Easter Egg Hunt!
This was our second annual Easter egg hunt hosted by the Grantham's! We colored eggs, had the hunt, and then BB-Q'd hamburger and hotdogs! What a great day it was and pretty warm considering that Easter snuck up so early this year in March. The kids had a great Easter morning when they discovered that the Easter bunny had come! We went to church and enjoyed the Easter program in Sacrament meeting. The McDaniel's had us over for a turkey feast later that day. Thanks for feeding us! It was a great holiday and a great teaching moment to teach the kids what Easter is all about. Macie now includes in her prayers, "and thanks for the candy Jesus." What a sweetie and a sweet tooth!!

SICK of it...
So being sick really can't be that bad when:
1. I have had no appetite.
2. By having no appetite, I have lost 2 lbs.
3. I have been able to lay in bed and watch t.v.
4. I was served breakfast in bed.
5. Dave has gotten the kids up, fed them breakfast, bathed them, got them dressed, fixed them lunch, cleaned it up, put down for naps, got take-out for dinner, pajama'd kids, put in bed. That sounds exhausting. Oh wait! I do that daily and it is!!
6. Angelica is coming next week to clean the house!
7. More rest.
8. More rest.
9. I am so sick of t.v.
Okay, now all the bad stuff about being sick is overshadowing the good:
1. The nasty cough.
2. Not feeling good.
3. Having no energy.
4. Feeling so weak.
5. Laundry piling up.
6. House needs to be cleaned. (Angelica to the rescue)
7. The pounding head ache.
8. Feeling like a bad mom. Snappy and neglecting my kids and hubby.
9. The desire to go somewhere, anywhere without feeling completely exhausted.
10. The whole sick thing really is the craps and now that it is day 7 I want it to go away NOW!!

A much needed get away...
This is the cabin that Dave arranged for our family to stay in. A cabin....more like a resort house in the woods with snow! It truly was so great to be in such a remote area with our kids and each other. The best anniversary yet for us!
Dave-a-licious
We had such a great weekend. Dave surprised me with a trip to his friend's cabin in Donnley (an hour and a half away!) It is 10 miles from this town called McCall that is somewhat comparable to Park City, UT...just much smaller. This cabin (so they call it, but really it is a home away from home) was just finished being built this year. We had the best time with our kids and it was so good to get away, even if it was just over night! We took the kids sledding and four wheeling and ate at a Mexican restaurant in McCall for dinner. The next morning, we took our kids to The Pancake House (thanks Kirsten!) and ordered the kids chocolate chip pancakes...I felt like we were on vacation so I said what the heck! What a great way to celebrate our anniversary and even better that our kids were with us! I told Dave, "I am happiest when on vacation....maybe we need to invest in a cabin, or maybe we should just start with a four wheeler!"

Happy Anniversary!
Happy Anniversary Baba! What a great six years it has been! We had the greatest weekend EVER...which I will blog about later. I just have to say how proud I am to be married to Dave. He is a great listener. He is for sure my best friend. He makes me laugh daily. He is the best daddy in the whole wide world. He does great ballet moves, that I am trying so hard to get on video, but he is sooo stubborn! He is a great provider. He is a dreamer. He can be soooo silly and so fun to be around. He LOVES me unconditionally. He eats my cooking. He is one hot italian stallion!
MUCH LOVE!
Lindsay
