4th of July FUN!

What a fun holiday - to dress in red, white, and blue. To feel loyalty and gratitude for our most beautiful country. To be grateful for the men and women who are honorable and give their lives to fight for our freedoms. Proud to be an American. Love the 4th of July!

Dalan blew a dandelion and I said, "make a wish bud!" He replied and said "I did mom. I wished for my own box of matches!" Eeeeekkkkk........

4th of July is probably even better than Christmas for this little one of mine -

Cute girlies waiting patiently for the big firework show!

Khloe was so great this year. With every boom and bang ... she would clap, cheer and give a little WOO!

She would always run to Caleb and jump on his lap, which he loved!

Cute Macie with a sparkler - a little timid this one.

It was such a sweet grand finale as Macie and her 2 friends, Emily and Aubrie called everyone for a performance. They sang the national anthem "The Star Spangled Banner... " and knew the words in sign language (thanks to their kindergarten teacher!) What a great end to a super fun day!

Summer - Summer - Summer TIME!!

We FINALLY made it to the water park!! Sweet!

This is what I have been getting from Khloe lately - it makes me giggle.... does that make me mean?? I just find it so funny that she is upset about - NOTHING!! I know this is just a stage and that it too will pass ... and I honestly don't remember my other two being this emotional! Maybe that means I just forgot, and hopefully this will be shortlived. The terrible two's - bring it!!

*** Life With a 2-Year-Old ... I try to remember that whenever I am feeling frustrated, I think about watching Khloe grow from a baby into an actual person with her own desires, opinions, and a sense of humor. Puppys make her crazy with excitement. She loves the outside. She LOVES to swing and she adores her brother and sister!! I love our nighttime routine as I put her to bed - we say our prayers, tell stories, and every night as I tuck her into bed I am reminded how lucky I am to have her. Even with these "tantrums" - I still manage to laugh at this phase. It too will pass and I know one day I will miss it! ***
