A must read for all mamas!

Okay all you mamas out there! I have been a little book worm lately. I am reading this book right now called "A Joyful Mother of Children" by Linda Eyre. Okay. Let me tell you how refreshed it is making me feel. The guilt I have from hiring a cleaning lady....gone. The bad days when I am sick of being a stay at home mama....still there, but able to cope and deal with a better attitude! My 2 year old that I adore and treasure the most, but still manages to put me on edge....and my 1 year old that is so curious and into every cupboard, garbage, toilet, and anything messy and buggy....humorous! I am just so trying to live in the moment lately and not be so up tight about the small things. It is working....today!
Let me just share a couple of things with you...these are tips that help you to "Become a Joyful Mother!"
1. Put first things first.
PRIORITIZE!
2. Don't always be logical.
IF TOO LOGICAL, YOU MAY MISS OUT ON WHEN IT "MIGHT BE THE RIGHT TIME TO..."
3. Progressively nurture unconditional love.
LIFE THROWS CHALLENGES...LEARN NOT TO JUDGE.
4. Laugh sooner rather than later.
LAUGH WHEN LAUNDRY DETERGENT IS SPILLED ALL OVER THE LAUNDRY ROOM!
5. Have a formula for dealing with guilt.
SHOULDA, WOULDA, COULDA....HAVE A BROWNIE!
6. Put your husband first.
YOU WERE A WIFE BEFORE A MOM! HAVE A DATE NIGHT!
7. Educate yourself.
KEEP ON READING....AND GO AND GET THIS BOOK!
8. Get help!
HIRE A CLEANING LADY!
9. Have a passion for something and remember your dreams.
DO SOMETHING FOR YOU...GIRLS NIGHT OUT ANYONE??
10. Have faith.
WHEN YOU FEEL DEFEATED AND DOWN, REMEMBER YOU HAVE HELP FROM A LOVING GOD.

Grandma/pa Grantham Good-bye's

It seriously felt like we were moving here all over again when we had to say good-bye. Kay cried, I cried, and Macie balled....and it was so hard to see them go. We had a great weekend spending time with them laughing, and showing them our new home. Macie was ready to "go to Vegas!" and didn't understand why she couldn't go with them. It is so hard to be away from those we love most...our families. PS...that is why we made sure we have a guest room at our house. Please come see us soon!

Row, Row, Row your boat...

What fun we had with Grandma and "Poppy" and "Wesha" Grantham, who came to spend time with us for the holiday weekend! We ventured to the paddle boats downtown to visit the geese and enjoy a fun day together. Macie was especially having a great time throwing bread and steering the boat!
